- Hoe borders regularly to keep the weeds down
- Remove suckers from roses, trees and shrubs
- Pinch out side shoots on tomatoes
- Continue planting out vegetable plants and
seedlings
- Apply shading to prevent scorch in greenhouses
and polythene tunnels
- Check newly planted trees, shrubs and other
plants to prevent them drying out
- Continue pruning spring-flowering shrubs
- Stand house plants outdoors in a sheltered
spot for the summer
- Keep ponds and water features topped up with
fresh water
- Take some cuttings from border pinks
