- Sow carrots, parsnips and bulb onions under
cloches
- Chit potato tubers by standing them, buds
facing upwards, in a light cool place
- Protect blossoms on apricots, nectarines
and peaches
- Net crops and fruit bushes to keep the birds
off
- Spray to control peach leaf curl on cherries
- Divide and replant bulbs such as snowdrops
- Prune Wisteria and re-tie the remaining growths
- Renovate overgrown deciduous hedges and prune
hardy evergreen hedges
- Prune conservatory climbers
- Start some housekeeping, and clean pots and
trays ready for raising new plants
